Autumn’s new openings in Oslobukta

A Georgian wine cellar on Sørenga, burgers made with freshly ground meat at Munch Brygge, and krill oil from Antarctica in Operagata. Here are the places that have opened in Oslobukta recently.

Autumn is a great time to find new favorites. The evenings get longer indoors and shorter outdoors, and that’s exactly when you need a new table to gather around. In the bay, several new places have opened over the past few months, from the fjord edge on Sørenga to Operagata. Everything is within walking distance, so you can easily visit several in one trip.

Sørenga: two new tables by the fjord

Marani brings Georgia to Sørengkaia

Marani opened in August as Oslo’s first Georgian restaurant. The name means «wine cellar» in Georgian and is a nod to one of the world’s oldest wine cultures. Much of the food is prepared over a charcoal grill, and the recipes have been passed down through generations. The sharing menu is built like a supra, the Georgian festive meal where the table is never empty for long.

Mer Kaos: dinner and bar side by side

Also on Sørengkaia is Mer Kaos, where restaurant and bar share a wall with views over the Oslo Fjord. The kitchen makes everything from scratch using seasonal ingredients, and the menu is designed for sharing. Start with dinner and continue with cocktails, wine and sparkling drinks at the bar, or vice versa. Throughout the year there will also be wine tastings, brunch and themed evenings.

Munch Brygge: Vink’s burger voted Oslo’s best

RENDER opened in Operagata 13 in August. Vink named the burger Oslo’s best in 2023. The meat is freshly ground every morning and served in Japanese milk bread from Bread & Butter. The terrace has views over Bjørvika, and MUNCH is right nearby. That makes RENDER a natural stop before or after the museum.

Rostockgata: reformer and ramen

SPACE Pilates brings together exercise and sauna

The Swedish chain DIN-DIN CLUB is opening in Rostockgata 64. The chain has nine restaurants in Sweden, and they call them «dojos» themselves. The menu consists of bowls, ramen and rolls with Asian fusion as the starting point. The chain has a playful tone and offers quick service for both lunch and dinner.

SPACE Pilates brings together exercise and sauna

SPACE Pilates has opened a studio in Rostockgata 3–4 in Barcode. The classes are built around the reformer, with 8–10 participants in each session. That gives the instructor time to follow each person’s technique. Infrared and Finnish sauna are included before and after the class. The studio is one of five in the Oslo area, and members can train at all of them at no extra cost.

Operagata and Bispevika: krill and play

Crantz Cookies: the sisters from Son

Crantz Cookies started the summer of 2025 with small stands in Son. Sisters Felicia and Adele were inspired by cookies they tasted in London. Felicia is in charge of the baking and travels home from Copenhagen as often as she can, while Adele handles everything behind the scenes. This summer they had their second pop-up in the bay.

Plan your own round in the bay: see all the eateries under Food & drinks, and download the Oslobukta app for regular offers at the restaurants and shops.

NYO3 has opened a flagship store

At Operagata 75C, NYO3 has opened its flagship store. The brand has been researching krill since 2006. Here you’ll find the full range, from krill oil from Antarctica to omega-3 and other supplements, made according to the «Pure & Simple» principle with natural ingredients and a focus on sustainability.

Sprell makes play something more

Sprell in Bispevika is a toy store where play is also about learning and mastering skills. If you bring the children on a Saturday, you can take part in LørdagsSprell, a free activity for everyone, every Saturday.
