Restaurants

There is a lot of restaurants at Sørenga with fantastic locations along the water's edge and lovely views. Whether you're going to have lunch or dinner, have an ice cream or coffee, you'll find it here.

Some of the restaurants open for lunch and dinner are Castello with a varied menu inspired by several countries and cultures, Mirabel with a menu inspired by the Mediterranean countries and COYO an authentic Mexican restaurant. Some of the restaurants are only open for dinner, and then you'll find everything from Indian food at Indian Street Food Company and hamburgers at Bun's Burger, and Italian pizza at Ludo. All have large and nice outdoor seating.

Or how about a cool bar? You can find a good atmosphere, cool interior and nice outdoor seating at the bar Vannskrekk at the far end of Sørenga. At Sørenga Social Club, they have a passion for cocktail art and have several exciting signature cocktails on the menu.

Outdoor activities at Friluftshuset

If you like outdoor activities, Sørenga is the place for you, here you will find Friluftshuset with many different activities. Friluftshuset belongs to DNT Oslo and Omegn and is an inspiration and gathering place for those who want to be active in and around Oslo. Here you can join yoga courses and inspiration evenings, rock out in the bouldering room, take courses, get a tour guide and buy practical equipment. You may have seen many people kayaking in the area? At Friluftshuset, you can also sign up for a kayak course, rent a kayak or join a guided kayak trip. To rent a kayak and paddle on your own, you must have an NPF wet card. You can also rent SUP boards, which have become very popular. If you are looking for a room for meetings, conferences or companies, they have a separate rental room that is rented out to both private individuals and companies.

Take a bath in Oslofjorden

Sørenga has many bathing opportunities, the most famous being the popular Sørenga sea bath at the far end of Sørenga. Here you will find a child-friendly sandy beach, diving boards, jetty edges, benches and a grass area. There is also a separate bathing ramp for the disabled. The harbor promenade along Sørenga and Sørengstranden is also nice for those who want to take a bath. A bath in the Oslofjord is an activity all year round and by the bridge to Sørenga you will find the Oslo sauna association with floating saunas that are open all year round. Here you can book a sauna or take a drop-in.
