Hairtrend of the year with Sindre Helgesen

Are you wondering what this year’s trends will be when it comes to hair? We have had a chat with Sindre Helgesen, hairdresser and stylist at Olimb & Co.

At Munch Brygge you will find the renowned hair salon and concept store Olimb & Co. As a customer of Olimb & Co, you should feel seen and looked after, and not least confident that you will get exactly the hairstyle you wear and want! Creativity and security go together, and adaptations to the individual will always give the best result.

At Olimb & Co, among others, the well-known hairdresser Sindre Helgesen works, we had a quick chat with him to hear a bit about this year's trends when it comes to hair.

The cut becomes even more important

Right now we are in a turning point when it comes to hair, where there will be even more focus on a good cut and the craftsmanship behind a good cut. It is no longer just a cut of the ends that applies, but a cut for a good hairstyle that suits the customer and which enables the customer to style the cut more easily themselves.

When you choose to put a little extra money into the cut, you should notice it in the result and the craftsmanship, says Sindre.

Skinification

Skinification means that, for example, you give the same care to the hair as we give to the skin. This is going to be important in 2025! Cut, color and products that provide care and, not least, shine to the hair. We will see more discreet colors in the coming year, you would rather promote and emphasize the color you have, versus going for big color changes. This is also part of taking care of your hair as you take care of your skin.

One of the brands that are extra good here is Maginista – the brand that is like skincare for the hair. Olimb & Co is one of the few dealers of this brand. Hair is also part of taking care of yourself, everything from cuts to styling and products you have at home.

This year's colors and lengths

This year we will see more golden hair and copper tones, as well as color changes that are two or three tones up or down from your own colour. There will also be a lot of use of glossing and more use of several shades of the same colour. When it comes to length, Sindre sees everything from short to long, but he has one hope that the Bixie cut will come back a little more. Bangs are also here to stay, and we want to see more layers.

Men's hairstyles

This year, the boys will have some length in their hair, not long, but a little longer. We will also see less use of machines and skin fade is a bit gone again. This year it will be more popular with a more personal cut, adapted to each individual and what the person wears. The guys are probably the ones who are most concerned with the craft itself in a good clip, and they get inspiration from other places than what the ladies normally do.
