A good start to the day at Godt Brød

Start the day with coffee and breakfast at Godt Brød on Munch pier. Here the sun shines from the morning and if you want to sit outside they have a large and pleasant outdoor area. Look out over the water and at the people passing by while enjoying your coffee. The food is made from short-distance and organic ingredients and in the counter you will find smeared rolls, baguettes and pastries, all straight out of the oven.

Morning bath at Sørenga sea bath

One of the area's most popular bathing spots is Sørenga sea bath. Cross the bridge over to Sørenga and follow the harbor promenade to the sea bath. There are many restaurants on the way out to the sea bath, maybe you will discover one you want to try out later on the road. You will also find the Paradis Gelateria ice cream bar on the way, a perfect stop on the way back if you want to cool off after a few hours in the sun. Enjoy sun and bath from the end of Sørenga, because what is better than a morning bath on a lovely summer day?

Explore the galleries in kulturgata

Just into a street from Godt Brød you will find the cultural street with several galleries. From around 11 am, the galleries are open and you can explore exhibitions with everything from Norwegian contemporary art, to graphic art and international contemporary art. After taking the trip to Kösk, QSPA Gallery and VI, VII which you will find here, you will also find Kunsthall Oslo close by, in Rostockgata 2-4. There you can see both Norwegian and international contemporary art with the main emphasis on new productions.

Lunch at Kumi overlooking MUNCH

One of the area's popular lunch spots you should check out is Kumi. A plant-based eatery with a focus on organic and local ingredients. The menu includes burrata, American pancakes and avocado toast, and much more! Kumi is located on Munch pier with a view of MUNCH and Sørenga. They have a nice outdoor seating area in the sun.

Shopping in Operagata

After lunch you can take a walk a couple of streets behind where you will find the shops in Operagata. Here there are many shops you will not find anywhere else, both multibrand shops and Norwegian design. If you are interested in Norwegian design, you should check out the stores of Envelope 1976, Holzweiler and Norwegian Rain & T-Michael. At the multi-brand stores Oxholm, Dapper, Bjørvika Undertøy and Aspeli, you will also find several internationally renowned brands.

Dinner at IKI

Sørenga you will find the newly opened IKI, a Japanese fine dining restaurant that combines good ingredients and delicate flavors to create a unique and modern version of Japanese food. The outdoor terrace has sun all evening, good atmosphere and views of MUNCH and Bishop's Bay.

Drinks at Hammerhai

If you are not ready to end the day after dinner, it continues with a good atmosphere at Hammerhai on Munch pier. A cool bar with orange walls, colorful art, lime green interior and a raised stage in the corner, where the music is played throughout the evening.
